ABOUT US

The ‘Socrates Social Research University’ is established on inspiration from world’s renowned philosophers ‘Socrates from Athens and Swami Vivekananda from India’ with their ideology of “supreme stage of social power.” The trust is duly registered under ‘Indian Trust Act in Government of NCT of Delhi’. The trust has provision in it by laws, to set up and run a virtual as well as physical University which would work to award ‘Honorary Doctorate Award’ to those personalities who are working and worked for the betterment of society in their respective fields for a long period. This award would be an honour alike Honorary Award
that usually given by the many Universities in their convocation to the eminent personalities of the Nation to appreciate them while ‘expressing the respect to their sacrifice and dedication towards the society.’

Eligibility for Honorary Doctorate Award

A person has completed Master’s Degree in any stream from any recognised University.
A person has completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University with at least five years of experience in Social Service under any registered NGO.
A person has completed Schooling from a recognised Board with at least ten years of experience in Social Service under any registered NGO.
A person who worked atleast minimum of ‘twenty years’ of life for the good cause of society and social service than their work also must be recognised and appreciated in the society, local administration, State government and Central government as well.

WHAT IS Honorary Doctorate Award (Honoris Causa)

An ‘Honorary AWARD’ is Non academic award for which a University or any Institution has waived all of the usual requirements like matriculation, attendance, course credits, a dissertation and the passing of comprehensive examinations. It is also known by the Latin phrases ‘honoris causa (for the sake of the honour)’ or ‘ad honorem (to the honour).’ The Award is Typically just an Award of Honour and May be Awarded to someone who has no prior connection with the academic institution or no previous postsecondary education.
